BUILDINGS NOW AND THEN- FURTHER INFORMATION

  • WHY DO WE BUILD?

Because we, as human beings, need to cover a place to protect ourself from the changing wheather, wild beasts and get the isothermal conditions that allow us to be comfortable and healthy. And so did the first humans.
  • TIMELINE
At first they were incredibly simple, so they could build them relatively fast, to let them move freely for hunting animals. Then, the neolithic revolution happend and they start creating the first aggrupations of fixed houses, because they didn't need to hunt anymore. These houses were a little more elaborated. They keep inproving the quality of they buildings for a long time but there were no new ways of building things untill the industrial revolution. From there they started using machines to build so their buildings started being cheaper. They also discovered a lot of new ways of working the steel, it soon becamed the principal material of all of they constructions. A lot of different ways of building started raising. Then after some years the plastic was invented, then they created a lot of diferent types of plastic. Then they adapted some types of plastics to building. Then we've improved our materials so they are probably in their best way with the nowadays technology. At this time the builders were like "Okay, okay, we've started not improving. Let's gather all things we've got so far... Okay, let's simplify the way of building so it can someday evolve"
